Description

It's very important to keep a sharpening angle consistent on a guided knife sharpener. The angle should not change when replacing one sharpening stones to another. In order to control the sharpening angle, one measures the angle between the knife plane and the sharpening stone.

There are many similar digital angle gauges on the market. This model is very light, which is a huge advantage when using with conjunction with a knife sharpener.

Good, basic angle gauge This angle gauge works well, but when fine-adjusting angles, there is a pronounced (about 2 second) delay between adjusting the angle and the gauge showing the new angle. Large angle changes are shown immediately. It took me a while to figure things out, so make a fine adjustment then wait for the gauge to catch up before adjusting further. It should save you oscillating around the angle you're after.

No side magnets. Magnets do not hold on the round flip area on the hapstone r2. Where you zero the angle gauge. It does it’s job but there are much better out there.
