LE Series Multi-Function Frame adds the most wanted features to KME knife sharpener:

Fine Angle Adjustment
Thickness Compensator
Parking Hook for Guide Rod
Zero Level for Digital Angle Gauge

Hint. Use one gear to fine-tune the angle and two gears to compensate for the thickness.

Note. This product is NOT an exoskeleton for your KME.

Note. The middle part may have a small tilt to the frame.

Attention! Partial disassembly of the KME Sharpener is required.

It's handy! Yeah, it's 3D printed plastic, much like MANY things any more, but it brings some nice features to the KME. The ability to use more than 'feel and an eyeball' to set the desired angle is nice. The thickness compensator (if you use multiple stones) took some imagination to use it, but what surprised me the most was the hook for the rod! I'm ALWAYS using that thing! Instructions? That's the reason for Youtube! Recommend it? You bet!

Good idea!!, very poor build quality.. I have a couple other 3d printed upgrades on my kme, And they feel way more solid than this. It didn't even fit right I had to file on it to try to make the bearing and angle guide work. And even after I have made it work. It's just really poor quality I threw it in the garbage

3D Printer Multi-Function Frame Very Disappointing. Nowhere in the product description does it mention that this item was 3D printed. This item is not durable at all. I twisted off one of the hand tightened parts during initial assembly. Unfortunately I'll not have an opportunity to test it's functionality. The design appears to be solid; but the design execution is poor.

Buy it This thing is cheap and effective it’s a no brainer much easier to micro adjust plus the thickness compensator is much better than the one kme sells can’t recommend enough

Smart design. You can tell quite a bit of effort went into designing this. I also would prefer it be aluminum or steel, however I don't think you can ding the product rating for a couple of reasons - primarily the price. Steel or aluminum would put this into triple digit price range. It would not make sense to sell that sort of thing for the KME, which is at it's core supposed to be a reasonably priced product. Second, it's not much of a "load bearing" part. It would take thousands of adjustments to wear out the only load bearing item which is the fine adjustment thread and nuts. At that point, but another $20 frame.

Nice upgrade to KME. Helps to ensure and maintain precise angle measurement. Functions very well. Made of printed plastic. Would have preferred if this were made of aluminum for durability.
